Sermon and Teaching Outlines In Alliteration

In chapter six Jesus begins to open the book one chapter at a time. The first chapter contains seven seals. These are revealed one at a time. As each one is revealed we see things getting worse. It gets bad for Rome, because judgment is bad. It gets bad for the church, because Rome will see to it that the church will suffer. The seals contain agony for Rome, and Rome intends agony for the church. Satan uses Rome to lash out at God through the church. Christians do not automatically escape horrible death. In the fifth seal the martyrs want to know when God will vindicate the cause for which they died (faith in the resurrected Christ). When the sixth seal is opened, horrible things begin to happen to the unsaved world.          next
